An Evening of Improvisation

Come join us for an evening of creative storytelling and unscripted theatre with two long-form improvisations. Watch as unique characters and narratives unfold in real time, driven by real-life stories, imagination and collaboration. Whether you're new to improv or a seasoned fan, this performance offers a fresh and engaging way to experience live theatre.

Armando

Our first show sees our budding improvisers treading the boards. Let them welcome you into a world where personal stories spark a journey of spontaneous creation. In Armando, a storyteller shares genuine moments from their life, inspiring an ensemble of improvisers to explore and expand these tales through unscripted scenes. Every performance is a unique blend of heartfelt honesty and artistic invention, offering an evening of connection, creativity, and surprise. Come and support this mixed group of improvisers as they perform what for some of them will be their first long-form show!

Shades of Emotion

Conrad Toft and Simone Ellul are back as Pairentheses, and they will once again present their original format, Shades of Emotion. Emotions colour our everyday lives, and in Shades of Emotion, they will take one emotion from the audience and explore it through real-life stories. The intertwining of these stories will inspire their scenes and lead them on a journey that digs deep into the characters and relationships they portray. Light and dark will come together as they discover the stories we want to tell together.

Conrad and Simone have improvised together since 2012 as part of The Ghost Sheep, an international English-language improv troupe based in Brussels that unfortunately died of Covid. In 2024, they unleashed a duo on the world. The consequences are unimaginable, but their on-stage chemistry is undeniable, so with a spoonful of wit and a smattering of experience, they enjoy bringing their format to life in front of new audiences.
