ŻfinMalta are excited to announce one of two exciting ballet training intensive experiences to kick start their season. 

 

This edition of ŻfinMalta’s Ballet Intensive is led by Lucia Geppi, co-director of Scuola Do Balletto Di Toscana and a freelance Maître de Ballet and tutor for the Teatro Comunale in Florence, Teatro, S. Carlo in Naples, Les Ballets de Monte Carlo, the Dominic Dance Theatre in Houston, the Grand Théâtre de Genève, the Scala in Milan, the Leipzig Opern, the Royal Swedish Ballet, the Stuttgart Ballet, the Béjart Ballet Lausanne and the Zurich Ballet, West Australian Ballet.   

Having worked closely with Mauro Bigonzetti over the years, knowing the full repertoire of his works, Lucia has also collaborated with many other choreographers and repertoires  such as Michele Abbondanza & Antonella Bertoni (Figli d’Adamo), Christian Spuck (Morphin Games), Jiri Kilian (Heart’s Labyrinth), Itzik Galili (Chamelon), William Forsythe (Steptext), Fabrizio Monteverde, Michele Pogliani and Eugenio Scigliano. Durin her career Lucia has worked closely with Aterballetto, Arena di Verona theatre, Tuscany ballets, Teatro Massimo in Palermo 

 

The aim of this intensive experience with Lucia Geppi is two fold: 

 

Workshop Auditions for La Scuola del Balletto Di Toscana 

 

  • For young people in training, ZfinMalta are hosting Lucia Geppi who will be scouting the Islands for talent!   

ŻfinMalta is opening an exclusive opportunity to partake in workshop auditions for Balletto Di Toscana over the weekend of Sat 24th & Sun 25th September 2022.

ŻfinMalta Open Classes with Lucia Geppi 

 

  • For adults interested in undertaking professional training skills in ballet technique the experience is week-long.  

ŻfinMalta opens its company classes to local and international professional dance artists throughout its season and Lucia has been selected to lead ŻfinMalta’s Company Open Classes on Friday 23rd and between Monday 26th – Thursday 29th September 2022 at 10:00am at ŻfinMalta Studios.  The minimum age to participate is 18 years.  

  

Adult participation in the Company Open Classes is against a package fee of 60€ (5 classes, 1.5 hr duration) whilst drop-in classes are available from 15€ per session.  Tickets are limited to 10 participants per session.

In addition to those terms and conditions outlined below by ShowsHappening, any attendee of the Event agrees that:


Whilst we are very much looking forward to seeing you in our studios, here are a few notes to read carefully in preparation for class etiquette and protocol:

  • Please take note of the location of the entrance to ZfinMalta Studios. Ring the bell on your left hand side if you find the green door shut and follow the stairs up to our studios.
  • Plan ahead to arrive at the venue at least 10 – 15 mins before class.
  • Once you have settled in, present your ticket and signed participation form to a ZfinMalta staff member or the guest teacher, before the start of the session.
  • Latecomers will not be admitted to the class as sessions are timed to warm up and cool down the body at a suitable pace.
  • Please bring your own water and towel, you’ll be able to fill up bottles via our water dispenser
  • Bring comfortable clothes to move in and don’t sweat it if you haven’t got dance shoes, try the class with socks!
