Plan your Visit
· Opening Hours: Monday to Saturday from 9:00AM to 16:45PM. Last admission is at 4:15PM – anyone who chooses to visit at this time, understands that they have 30 minutes to visit the Co-Cathedral and their visit will not be extended.
· Tickets: A valid ticket must be produced to get into the Co-Cathedral – removing any part, altering or copying the ticket may invalidate your ticket. The ticket is valid for one-time entry within seven days from the selected date of visit.
· Ticket Types: If you choose any of the Child (under 12), Disabled Card Access or the ICOM Card option, the Organiser might ask you to present said documentation.
· Appropriate Dress: This is a church, please make sure to dress appropriately. Please bring a shawl to cover. Stiletto and narrow heels are not allowed.
· Photography & Videography: Take as many photos as you’d like but flash photography is not allowed. However, filming, audio recording, or any form of moving image or sound capture – whether for commercial or non-commercial purposes – is prohibited without the prior written consent of the Organiser. The Organiser reserves the right to restrict or prohibit photography, filming, or recording at any time where it may interfere with the experience, infringe intellectual property rights, or compromise the safety, privacy, or enjoyment of others.
· Bags & Baggage: Small bags are encouraged as there are no lockers on-site. Large handheld bags or backpacks will be required to be held by hand, or on the front. No food or drink allowed in the premises. No large luggage with wheels is allowed on the premises.
· Visit & Duration: We recommend saving approximately an hour and 45 minutes for your visit. The entrance fee includes the provision of handheld audio guides with 20 stops which are available to visitors in: Maltese, English, Italian, French, German, Spanish, Polish, Japanese, Russian, Bulgarian & Romanian.
· Accessibility: Access is provided to St John’s for wheelchair users and visitors with mobility issues, although access to some areas is restricted.
To help us sustain the building and conserve it with all its works of art we request an entrance fee. Conservation programmes are costly and are constantly being carried out to the highest specifications in order to preserve the Church in all its splendour. Our reward is your visit and appreciation.
