Description

The regulatory landscape is shifting. The AMLD6 package represents the most significant overhaul of the EU's anti-money laundering framework in years, and for businesses and professionals operating in Malta, understanding what is coming and when is no longer optional.

What to expect

We will be joined by representatives from the Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit (FIAU) and the Sanctions Monitoring Board (SMB), alongside speakers from across the industry, for a programme that goes beyond the headlines and into the detail. From the new EU-level AML Authority (AMLA) and its direct supervision remit, to the expanded definition of obliged entities, the harmonised CDD rules, and the tightened beneficial ownership requirements — this event is designed to give you clarity on what changes, what stays the same, and what you need to do next.

Who should attend

This event is relevant to anyone with AML/CFT responsibilities, including compliance officers, MLROs, legal professionals, CSPs, accountants, and risk and governance teams within financial institutions. Whether you are still mapping the impact of the new framework or already working through your implementation roadmap, you will leave with practical insight and regulatory perspective you can act on.

Why attend in person

Beyond the programme itself, the event is an opportunity to connect with peers, regulators, and fellow practitioners

This event will be accredited with CPE hours.
