Schola Cantorum Jubilate presents a special edition of Carols by Candlelight

To mark the grand finale of its 25th anniversary celebrations, Schola Cantorum Jubilate is proud to present a special edition of its much-acclaimed event, Carols by Candlelight. Over the past fifteen editions, this Christmas tradition has become synonymous with the choir, earning recognition across Europe. Notably, in 2010, The Guardian ranked it among the top ten Christmas events in Europe.

This exclusive soirée will begin with a Christmas concert held in the Church of St Augustine. As in previous editions, the experience will be a captivating blend of music, literature, lighting and projections. The repertoire will include classical Christmas pieces alongside contemporary compositions, creating a magical atmosphere that perfectly captures the spirit of the season. The choir will perform under the direction of Marouska Attard.

Following the concert, guests will be treated to a festive dinner within the historic cloister of the friary, beautifully decorated for the occasion. Exquisite food and fine wine will complete what promises to be another unforgettable evening.

Attendance is by ticket only. Those interested can purchase their tickets through ShowsHappening. Patrons are kindly requested to contact the organisers to reserve their dinner seats and to inform them of any food intolerances.

Organiser/Promoter/Venue (“Organiser”) Terms and Conditions

In addition to those terms and conditions outlined below by ShowsHappening, any attendee of the Event agrees that:

Entry to Carols by Candlelight – Special Edition requires a valid ticket. Altering, copying, or removing any part of the ticket may render it invalid.
A valid ticket is required to access both the concert inside the church and the dinner in the cloister area. Patrons without a valid ticket will not be granted entry.

Seating inside the church is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Patrons with dietary requirements should inform the organisers in advance via WhatsApp at +356 79450950 or by email at info@scjchoir.com.
The organiser reserves the right to make necessary changes to the advertised programme, including but not limited to artist line-ups, event timings, seating arrangements and audience capacity. These adjustments may result from directions by authorities, artist unavailability or other circumstances beyond the organiser's control. Such changes will not materially alter the nature of the event and will not affect your right to a refund.
If the event is rescheduled or relocated, you will have the option to retain or exchange your ticket for the new date or location or request a refund. In the case of cancellation, you may be offered a transfer to a future event or a refund of your ticket price. Please note that any booking or transaction fees are non-refundable.
The organiser is not liable for any costs incurred by ticket holders relating to travel, accommodation or other expenses resulting from the event being rescheduled, relocated or cancelled.
Tickets may not be resold for commercial purposes. If reselling is suspected, tickets may be invalidated and entry refused.
For safety reasons, the organiser reserves the right to refuse admission or carry out security checks at their discretion.
The organiser accepts no liability for loss, damage, injury or death unless it results directly from their proven legal negligence and is a foreseeable consequence. The organiser is not responsible for the actions of third parties, including performers or exhibitors.
The event is planned to take place in all weather conditions unless deemed unsafe by the safety officer. Refunds will not be issued due to bad weather if the event proceeds.
The organiser is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings brought to the event.
Attendees may be filmed, photographed or audio-recorded for security, broadcast or promotional purposes by the organiser, sponsors or authorised partners.
Video or audio recording during the performance is strictly prohibited unless prior written consent is obtained from the organiser.
In line with Maltese law, alcoholic beverages will not be served to individuals under the age of 17.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Maltese law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malta.
These terms are in addition to the general ShowsHappening Terms and Conditions.

ShowsHappening Terms and Conditions

You acknowledge that ShowsHappening is a booking platform and is not authorised to issue refunds unless instructed to do so by the Organiser/Promoter/Venue. In the case of a refund being issued for tickets bought, refund will be issued on the ticket face value (excluding booking fee or charge). If you opted for a Refundable Booking the terms and conditions found at refundable.me/extended/en shall apply.
You acknowledge that ShowsHappening provides a payment method where payment is collected on behalf of the Organiser/Promoter/Venue as duly authorised, however your contractual relationship other than for the booking fee and the service we offer shall be with the Organiser/Promoter/Venue. ShowsHappening is not responsible for the organisation or staging of the Event and has no control over the cancellation or rescheduling of or for material changes to any Event.
ShowsHappening shall provide you with all information and any changes to your ticket as soon as reasonably possible.
By completing a purchase, you are confirming that you have read any specific terms and conditions which the Organiser/Promoter/Venue has issued with regard to this event.
All tickets or passes should be checked on purchase. Whilst every effort shall be made mistakes cannot always be rectified. Accordingly, please check your Tickets carefully on receipt and contact us immediately if there is a mistake.
ShowsHappening is not responsible for the actions or failures of any Organiser/Promoter/Venue. Under no circumstances shall we be liable for death, personal injury, loss or damage to property suffered by you or your guests arising out of attendance at an Event, unless caused by our negligence
In the event of any inconsistency with the terms of the Organiser/Promoter/Venue, those of ShowsHappening shall prevail.
Information is collected from those registering with www.showshappening.com in order to facilitate ticket purchase or other services available. This information is collected and used in accordance with ShowsHappening's Privacy Policy, which forms part of these conditions.
