Il-Kunċert tal-President għas-Sena l-Ġdida has become a milestone tradition in the Maltese Cultural calendar around this time of year. Under the direction of Alan Chircop, the MPO in collaboration with Festival Malta will once again be heralding the arrival of a new year under the distinguished patronage of the President of the Republic of Malta.

Description

Programme to include:

Giuseppe Verdi Overture from Nabucco
Charles Gounod Je Veux Vivre from Roméo et Juliette
Charles Camilleri Malta Suite
Jaques Offenbach From Tales of Hoffmann
Sergei Rachmaninoff (arr. Sir Henry Wood) Prelude in C-sharp minor, Op. 3 No. 2
Mikhail Glinka Overture from Ruslan and Lyudmila
Johann Strauss II Overture from Die Fledermaus

The programme features an uplifting selection of spirited music including Giuseppe Verdi’s Overture from the opera Nabucco, Charles Gounod’s Je Veux Vivre from Roméo et Juliette and Jacques Offenbach’s Barcarolle from Tales of Hoffmann. The thrilling programme also includes the Malta Suite, an iconic work by celebrated Maltese composer Charles Camilleri. The MPO will be sharing the stage with Soprano Gillian Zammit who will be performing a number of perenially favourite arias.

Organiser/Promoter/Venue (“Organiser”) Terms and Conditions

In addition to those terms and conditions outlined below by ShowsHappening, any attendee of the Event agrees that:

No refund on tickets will be made under any circumstances unless otherwise instructed by the event organiser. In the case of a refund being issued for tickets bought, refund will be issued on the Ticket face value, and ShowsHappening booking fee will NOT be refunded.
Venue Owner reserves the right without refund or compensation to refuse admission to any persons whose conduct is disorderly or unbecoming.
The Promoter may add, withdraw or substitute artistes and/or vary advertised programmes, event times, seating arrangements and audience capacity without prior notice.
The Promoter/Venue Owner may postpone, cancel,interrupt or stop the event due to adverse weather, dangerous situations, or any other causes beyond his reasonable control.
Information is collected from those registering with www.showshappening.com in order to facilitate ticket purchase or other services available. This information is collected and used in accordance with ShowsHappening's Privacy Policy, which forms part of these conditions.
In the event of an event being cancelled, postponed or unsatisfactory, or in the event that Buyer is not allowed to watch the event for any reason, SHOWSHAPPENING cannot be held responsible for any liability including any costs whatsoever incurred by the Buyer in connection with the said event.
