Description

Experience two action‑packed days of international weightlifting as more than 100 athletes from 22 countries battle for top honours in the U15, U17 and Junior Individual and Team categories. Hosted over the 6th and 7th of December, the championships will showcase the next generation of talent, with tightly scheduled sessions, national team rivalries and an electric arena atmosphere.

On Saturday 6th December, Malta will be represented by Gabriele Frendo, Emily Livori, Kaya Curmi Inguanez and Nathan Mifsud as they step onto the platform to open the home nation’s campaign. Across the day, fans can follow multiple age‑group sessions, including the official opening at 15:00, with a full programme running into the evening.

On Sunday 7th December, the spotlight shifts to another strong local line‑up as Nathaniel Fenech, Luke Stefan Micallef, Kim Camilleri Lagana, Aaliyah Gatt, Rylee Borg and Tenishia Thornton take the stage for Malta. The final day features U17 and U20 boys’ and girls’ categories, culminating in the awards ceremony at 18:45, where individual and team champions will be crowned.

Across both days, spectators can expect powerful lifts, tense battles for medals and inspiring performances from some of the best young lifters in Europe and beyond. A dedicated team of eight young Maltese athletes will be aiming to build on their recent international performances and make an even bigger statement on home soil.

Organiser/Promoter/Venue (“Organiser”) Terms and Conditions

In addition to those terms and conditions outlined below by ShowsHappening, any attendee of the Event agrees that:

A valid ticket must be produced to gain entry to the event. Removing any part, altering, or copying the ticket may invalidate it.
Tickets are non-refundable and are subject to availability.
You acknowledge that the Organiser may, where necessary, add, withdraw or substitute athletes and/or vary advertised programmes, event times, seating arrangements, and audience capacity. Such changes shall not be considered material changes to the event and may occur due to instructions by authorities, unavailability of athletes, or other reasons beyond the Organiser’s control. This will not prejudice any rights you may have for a refund in the event of cancellation.
If the event is rescheduled or moved to another date, the Organiser will offer you the option of retaining or exchanging your ticket for the new date/location or a refund. If the event is cancelled, you may be offered the option to transfer your ticket to a future event or receive a refund for your ticket. Please note that any booking fees and/or transaction fees are non-refundable in these circumstances.
The Organiser cannot be held responsible for any resulting costs you may incur for travel, accommodation, or other related services if the event is rescheduled, changed, moved, or cancelled.
Tickets cannot be resold for commercial gain. If the Organiser has reason to believe that tickets have been re-sold for such purposes, they may be invalidated, and the holder will be refused admission.
For the safety of attendees, the Organiser reserves the right to refuse admission and conduct security searches as deemed necessary.
The Organiser shall not be responsible for any loss, damage, death, or injury unless: (i) the relevant party has breached its legal obligations; and (ii) such loss or damage is a direct and reasonably foreseeable result of that breach. The Organiser will not be responsible for the actions of any third party, including exhibitors or performers.
If any part of the event is planned outdoors, it will proceed regardless of weather conditions unless deemed unsafe by the safety officer. While every effort will be made to secure an indoor alternative, no refunds will be issued for bad weather if the event takes place.
The Organiser accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to personal property brought to the event.
Attendees may be filmed, photographed, or sound recorded for broadcast, publication, or security purposes by the Organiser, sponsors, and partners.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the relevant Maltese law, with the Courts of Malta having exclusive jurisdiction.
These terms are also subject to the ShowsHappening Terms and Conditions.

ShowsHappening Terms and Conditions

You acknowledge that ShowsHappening is a booking platform and is not authorised to issue refunds unless instructed to do so by the Organiser/Promoter/Venue. In the case of a refund being issued for tickets bought, refund will be issued on the ticket face value (excluding booking fee or charge). If you opted for a Refundable Booking the terms and conditions found at refundable.me/extended/en shall apply.
You acknowledge that ShowsHappening provides a payment method where payment is collected on behalf of the Organiser/Promoter/Venue as duly authorised, however your contractual relationship other than for the booking fee and the service we offer shall be with the Organiser/Promoter/Venue. ShowsHappening is not responsible for the organisation or staging of the Event and has no control over the cancellation or rescheduling of or for material changes to any Event.
ShowsHappening shall provide you with all information and any changes to your ticket as soon as reasonably possible.
By completing a purchase, you are confirming that you have read any specific terms and conditions which the Organiser/Promoter/Venue has issued with regard to this event.
All tickets or passes should be checked on purchase. Whilst every effort shall be made mistakes cannot always be rectified. Accordingly, please check your Tickets carefully on receipt and contact us immediately if there is a mistake.
ShowsHappening is not responsible for the actions or failures of any Organiser/Promoter/Venue. Under no circumstances shall we be liable for death, personal injury, loss or damage to property suffered by you or your guests arising out of attendance at an Event, unless caused by our negligence
In the event of any inconsistency with the terms of the Organiser/Promoter/Venue, those of ShowsHappening shall prevail.
