Aleksandra Hałat is a pianist, chamber musician, researcher. She is a lecturer at the Institute of Musical Arts at the University of Silesia, in Poland. A graduate of solo and postgraduate piano chamber music studies at the K. Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice and Universitȁt fũr Musik und darstellende Kunst in Graz, Austria.  A member of ECMTA (European Chamber Music Teacher Association) based in Estonia. Awarded at competitions, received the scholarship of American Institute for Musical Studies) and VIP scholarship (Vienna International Pianists). She is the author of the publication: "Transcription in chamber music as a space for pianistic interpretation” Aleksandra Hałat initiated the Karol Rathaus Project, the idea of which is to popularize the work of Karol Rathaus through concerts, lectures, record releases. Her latest albums “Karol Rathaus- Piano Trios” and Karol Rathaus - Chamber works/ world premiere recordings were published by DUX received very good reviews in the Polish and foreign press. Co-founder of Karol Rathaus Foundation which main mission is: “In face of cultural diversity, different views and convictions – music is a space for creating an interpersonal dialogue.”

In 2023, Aleksandra Hałat was awarded a Schoolarship by the Ministry of Culture and the prestigious National Institute of Music and Dance for her research on Jerzy Fitelberg's heritage (2023). Pianist cooperated with Atilla Aldemir, Michael Guttman, Tomasz Daroch, Bartosz Woroch, Katya Apekisheva, Roksana Wardenga and Piotr Lato. At last she performed at: Rathaus Festival in New York, Karol Szymanowski Festival in Zakopane, Polin Music Festival in Warsaw, Brundirbar Arts. Festival in Newcastle. 

Her last album influenced by Balkan and jazz music "Illusions" recorded with pianist Agata Hołdyk were in preselection to Fryderyk award nomination in Poland.


Polish-born pianist Julia Miller graduated from the Music Academy of Lodz in piano performance and chamber music under the tutelage of Prof. Anna Wesolowska- Firlej, Prof. Boguslaw Pikala and Prof. Cezary Sanecki, just to name the few. She was a finalist in a number of competitions and had her own trio that performed in the most prestigious locations in Poland. Since then, she has carved for herself an international career both as a soloist and as a musical collaborator. 

After a stint in Dublin, Ireland, she moved to Malta in 2012 and built herself a reputation as both an accompanist to vocalists as well as an accomplished pianist in her own right. She collaborated with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, Kor Malta, the Manoel Theatre Youth Opera and been present in several festivals, including the Malta Baroque Festival, the Malta International Spring Festival and has been the piano accompanist to soprano Miriam Gauci during her masterclasses during the Gaulitana Festival.

Since 2019, Julia Miller has also started a series of solo recitals titled ‘Julia Miller Plays’, playing a wide-ranging repertoire of classical piano pieces, especially from the Romantic Period. She is also a teacher at the Malta School of Music where she works in voice, piano and chamber music departments.

In 2022, Julia was the brains behind the project Valletta-Varsavja-Vjenna, where she was playing Mozart’s D Minor Piano Concerto together with Polish based Apertus Quartet as well as piano part in the specially commissioned piano quintet by Karl Fiorini. Project was supported by Arts Council Malta and The Embassy of Poland in Valletta.

Currently, she is reading her DMus at the University of Malta under the supervision of Prof. Michael Laus and Dr Max Erwin where she is focusing on female composers from the the end of 19th century from USA and Sweden.
