Description

Girolamo Abos’s opera Pelopida, was originally commissioned and performed in Rome's Teatro Argentina in 1747. Arias, duos, and trios have been included in concert programmes over the years. However, this is the first time in living memory that the opera will be performed in its entirety. The opera is all about love and betrayal unleashing a terrifying punishment within the perilous world of Ancient Greece, where hope and despair battle for supremacy.
