The Opening Concert of the Malta International Music Festival, marking the opening concert of Tatarstan Music Days in Malta will be held at Robert Samut Hall in Floriana, featuring the internationally renowned La Primavera Kazan Chamber Orchestra directed by Rustem Abyazov in their first concert performance in Malta since their establishment in 1989.

The programme gives us the opportunity to experience authentic music from Tatarstan: Folk Themes performed by Rustem Abyazon himself on violin, songs sung by internationally acclaimed soprano Alina Sharipianova, and Concerto-Rhapsody for Piano and String Orchestra featuring one of this generation’s most romantic pianists who has been referred to as “a messenger from Chopin’’ – Rem Urasin.

An evening promising virtuosity and romantic Tartar themes to set us in the right feeling for the brilliant concerts within this year’s Festival.
