Description

Electronic Music Malta presents a special screening of Move Ya Body: The Birth of House, the powerful and celebratory documentary by award-winning director Elegance Bratton.

Step inside the origins of house music—from the ashes of Disco Demolition Night to the liberating, revolutionary sound of Chicago’s underground scene. Follow Vince Lawrence, Frankie Knuckles, and the early pioneers whose DIY spirit sparked a global movement that still unites dancers across the world.

After the screening, join us for a discussion on the roots, culture, and legacy of house music, followed by a DJ set by Maltese dance-music pioneer DJ David Dee, who will take us on a journey through the grooves and emotions that shaped generations.
