The Rooftop Series Summer Festival presents Flamenco directors Francesca Grima and Andrej Vujicic as they invite you into the heart of Seville’s flamenco scene with a vibrant homage to the iconic tablao El Arenal — the fiery, intimate cabaret space where the soul of flamenco lives and breathes.
Malta’s own Francesca Grima 'La Chica', one of the first international dancers to grace the Arenal stage, and Andrej Vujicic, as the first cajón player to perform in a Seville tablao, will be sharing the stage with the premium cast of Seville’s top artists.
Joining them are Ruben Romero and Tremendo Hijo, and none other than Antonio Castro 'El Antoñete', the powerhouse artistic director of Seville’s legendary Tablao El Arenal. Antoñete, known for his raw strength (fuerza) and deep artistic maturity, leads a hand-picked crew of Arenal’s finest — artists who bring the kind of tradition you can’t fake, only embody.
It’s about cutting through the cliché, stripping flamenco down to its bare, beating heart. This is flamenco as a lived experience — improvised, raw, intuitive, and real.
Stick around after the show! Drinks will be available thanks to Islands8.
