Description

Tucked within the hushed grandeur of the Silent City, Mdina’s St Paul’s Cathedral will once again come alive this June with a unique 70-minute concert to mark the start of summer. Following last year’s success, A Midsummer Dream returns, where the romantic beauty of classical music meets the timeless atmosphere of one of Malta’s most iconic venues.

As the sun marks the rhythms of time and God’s creation flourishes, summer itself becomes the muse, its warmth and abundance expressed through music and voice. The historic cathedral will be filled with an uplifting celebration of the season’s arrival. Inspired by this spirit, works by the great composers, including Mozart, Rachmaninov, Debussy, and Vivaldi, will be performed by the acclaimed Cordia String Quartet under the musical direction of Jacob Portelli, joined by renowned tenor Cliff Zammit Stevens.

Guiding the evening’s experience, Clare Agius will lead audiences through the programme, adding insight and continuity to this evocative musical journey.

Combine your concert experience with an exclusive pre-performance evening tour of Mdina in English, led by a professional guide. This package also includes a reserved seat in the Platinum area.

Each ticket entitles the holder to a 10% discount on food only at Medina Restaurant and Trattoria AD1530 restaurant in Mdina for a pre-or post-concert dinner. This offer is valid only on the day of the concert. Table reservations are recommended and subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis.
