SIGMA TO HOST MALTA’S FIRST WORLD TITLE FIGHT FOR WBC HANNAH RANKIN TO FACE SWEDEN’S UNDEFEATED PATRICIA BERGHULT FOR WBC INTERIM JUNIOR MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP.

SiGMA has announced that, in association with Prize Boxing Promotions, the first WBC World Title Fight to be staged in Malta will take place at the InterContinental Arena, St Julian’s, on 27th November 2019, in association with SiGMA Group.

The main event will be a fight between Hannah Rankin from Scotland and Patricia Berghult from Sweden, the undefeated WBC Interim Junior Middleweight Champion.

Hannah Rankin is a Scottish professional boxer. She has held the IBO female super welterweight title since June 2019, and has challenged once for the WBA female super middleweight title in 2018; and once for the WBA, WBC, and IBF middleweight titles against Claressa Shields in 2018.

Patricia Berghult is a former Olympic boxer who made her professional debut in December 2015.

The fight will be the first WBC World Title Fight to take place in Malta, and has been organised in association with Prize Boxing Promotions.
