Description

Beginning at 10:00, we'll explore the challenges of bringing unique narratives to audiences prior to our main event with a talk about Independent Film distribution in Europe.
"A House in Jerusalem" is a compelling narrative that intertwines personal healing with broader cultural and political themes. The film follows a Jewish-British girl who undergoes a transformative journey after relocating from England to Jerusalem following the loss of her mother. In this new environment, she encounters the spectral presence of a Palestinian girl who shares a tragic history of familial separation.

Directed by Muayad Alayan and written by Tajana Kosor, the film promises to offer a nuanced exploration of identity, loss, and reconciliation against the backdrop of the complex socio-political landscape of Jerusalem.

Starring Johnny Harris, Miley Locke, and Sheherazade Farrell, the film has a talented cast that is sure to bring depth and authenticity to the characters' emotional journeys.

Following the screening, there will be a Q&A session, providing audiences with an opportunity to gain further insights into the creative process behind this poignant film.

The event will take place at the Embassy Cinema, with free admission for members and a ticket price of EUR10 for non-members. This presents a valuable opportunity for cinema enthusiasts and industry professionals alike to engage with thought-provoking cinema and participate in meaningful discussions surrounding its themes and production.
